Like any other plant, seaweeds are a wonder of nature. They come in different shapes, textures, sizes, and colours. They look fragile but they are not. They have the same smell, that of the wild oceans. Their intricate beauty is mysterious and fascinating.
Australia has one of the richest and most diverse seaweed floras in the world with as many as 2,400 species. Here are just a few of them.
